One-piece folding plate: a thin plate with a transverse living-hinge groove — the blank for card cases, glasses pouches and snap wallets. The flex web is the whole mechanism: its thickness is measured against the fold-without-tearing band, and the honesty check states what AF cannot measure — fold-cycle life is a material property (PETG/PLA folds tens of times; polypropylene is the real living hinge).
